Broadcast Beefs & Print Peeves

In which I complain about sloppy wordifying (although not exclusively medical) in broadcast and print news.

Time was when the worst offenses were incorrect use of “hopefully,” treating “media” and “bacteria” as singular nouns, and the apparently always-with-us nuke-you-lar. Is it the multiplicity of <I shudder to say> platforms that has led to the increase in word crimes and their contagion? Only covfefe knows… but herewith an ongoing list of the usages I hear all too often in broadcast media and see in print.
